PuraVita Medical Donates Over 50,000 Face Masks To Syrian Healthcare Communities Amid Growing Covid-19 Humanitarian Crisis In Syria
As economic conditions ravage the country, lockdowns must be limited while access to lifesaving PPE equipment is scarce. In refugee communities, the lack of testing coupled with improper hygiene protocol is a recipe for disaster. These contributing factors make it extremely difficult to control the spread of Covid-19, and a lack of face masks only makes it worse.

Lindon, UT – June 18th, 2021 – PuraVita Medical made international headlines once again as they announce their partnership with Multifaith Alliance For Syrian Refugees. In an effort to begin providing essential PPE face masks to healthcare workers & refugees that have been displace in Northern Syria, PuraVita has donated more than 50,000 medical-grade FFR face masks to Syrian healthcare communities to help quell the recent surge in Covid-19 cases.

As the economic and Covid crisis deepens in Syria, the need for PPE and hygiene products is vitally important to stem the spread of COVID-19 and other diseases. Overcrowding and a lack of access to fresh water makes it nearly impossible to practice proper hygiene and social distancing, which many see as contributing factors to the continuing health crisis. A recent story published in the MFA newsletter was quoted as saying, “The impact of COVID-19 continues to grow among internally displaced and refugee communities in and around Syria. The number of positive cases and mortality rates are rising. Due to the lack of widely available testing, it is likely that the impact of COVID-19 is much higher than what is recorded.”

PuraVita Medical is a Utah-based mask and respirator manufacturing company wholly owned and operated by Americans and has been providing essential PPE equipment since the beginning of the pandemic. During a recent interview, Darin Long, the CEO of Puravita Medical was quoted as saying, “We started this company because we wanted to provide American-made quality PPE equipment to those in need. As demand increased, we decided to make it a mission to provide outstanding face masks not only to Americans, but to those all around the world that are desperately in need. We will continue to donate supplies to those in need, this is just the beginning!”
