While the company was not sure that the project would end well, everything went great.

“One of the reasons Tree Service Ontario was trying to avoid handling emergency tree service procedures outside the city is that these procedures are time-sensitive,” said the company’s CEO. “For example, when a homeowner calls your office looking for help with a tree that is leaning dangerously over their house, they expect the emergency tree removal team to arrive on their landscape less than an hour later.”

The CEO noted that he understood the need for a fast response. He told a group of reporters that emergency tree service procedures have to be conducted immediately or the tree would end up causing extreme damage.

“If a tree has just been struck by lightning and is relying on other weak trees to stay upright,” said the CEO, “it is just a matter of time before the tree breaks the weak trees and lands on the neighboring house, swimming pool, power lines, car garage, etc. The resulting damage could cost thousands of dollars to fix.”

The CEO noted that the distance between the company’s offices and some of the homes in the Ontario neighborhood created the idea that the company would have to force homeowners to wait for too long before getting their tree removal services.

“This is still one of the reasons the company decided to just take on the emergency tree service requests that come from the neighborhoods at night,” said the CEO. “Normally, in Ontario, there is usually no traffic on the roads in the middle of the night. This means that the company can rush and arrive at the emergency sites sitting outside Ontario quickly.”

The CEO noted that yesterday was the ultimate test the company needed. When a homeowner in Markham called at around 1 am to request an emergency tree removal procedure, the company managed to arrive on his landscape less than an hour after the call. This was reportedly enough proof for the company to know that it could handle the emergency tree services.

“The team of tree cutting professionals was on John’s landscape about 55 minutes after he called to report a tree had been struck by a lightning and was about to fall on his powerlines,” said the CEO. “The team found the damaged tree almost breaking the two smaller trees that had held it upright after the lightning strike. A delay of about 15 minutes would have given the tree enough time to land on the powerlines and cause a total blackout in the entire neighborhood.”

When reporters asked Tree Service Ontario whether the homeowners outside Ontario should be prepared to spend more money on their emergency tree services, the company’s CEO confirmed that this would not be the case. He indicated that his company would do everything necessary to ensure emergency tree removals outside the city were affordable.
