On the other hand, Cory J. received his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Detroit Mercy, his master’s degree in business administration from Ashford University in Iowa, and his master’s degree in the art of teaching from Eastern Michigan University. Cory also received his religious studies from Michigan Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Michigan. Cory teaches mathematics at the high school level and also mentors and supports young people throughout the city. As part of his activities as a pastor, he has led his church in several community initiatives, including giving away free turkeys, feeding the homeless, and giving away over 250 bicycles to children in need. His service is not limited to his church or the community around it. He has also served as a Detroit Police Chaplain for ten years and holds the Deputy Chief Chaplain’s rank. Cory Chavis is a published author, and he is launching a book called The Vocabulary of Success.
