Providing for the aging global population is nothing new.  But the challenges have shifted, as generational housing is not as prevalent in today’s society.  It is crucial that we provide some healthy and robust alternatives for our seniors.  Their ‘golden years’ are intended to be the best time of life, to enjoy with peers – thus giving peace of mind to their families that they are happy and well taken care of.

Bethany Liou, the leader of the Golden California Regional Center recognize the high demand for tiered retirement communities for our aging population.   In California, such housing communities are in short supply, and the demand is huge.  Many that currently exist have waiting lists of up to 5 years.  The beautiful sunshine and pleasant climate makes California a top choice for retirement.

Tulare, California is the project site, which is located in the heart of the state of California. Tulare has pleasant climate, clean air, and quiet, idyllic farmlands. It is conveniently close to State Highway 99 and California’s future high-speed rail station, and is adjacent to the beautiful Yosemite National Park and Sequoia National Park; far away from the hustle of the big cities. This unique location provides an advantage for retirement community development.

The Grande Oak Village is within walking distance of the large Tulare Outlet Center shopping mall, and is conveniently surrounded by upscale residences.  Costco, Target, numerous restaurants, movie theaters, hotels, churches and schools are in close proximity; as well as a new general hospital named: Adventist Health Tulare and a rehabilitation center in Tulare County, providing multiple health care and medical services.

In order to meet the booming market demand, the design of this retirement community provides friendly living space and nursing services, as it delivers safety and security for this deserving population.

The Grande Oak Village Project of Golden California Regional Center will provide retirees with a 3-tiered housing community:  Independent Living (for seniors able to care for themselves), Assisted Living (for those who need help with certain things such as meals, medications, laundry, etc.) and Memory Care (for those suffering with Dementia or Alzheimer’s disease).

This project, led by Bethany Liou and her team, have the full support of the local government for their thoughtful planning and beautiful modern design. Meanwhile, it has been approved to enjoy the financial preferential policies of HUD such as fixed low interest loans for 35 years! The residents of Tulare, California and communities around the state are looking forward to supporting the Grande Oak Village!
